Hey. I'm just your average ordinary teenage girl (well, as ordinary as one can get while hating the majority of people my age and spending time divising grisly ways in which they can meet their doom) with a few random obsessions. I like anime. Mostly shonen, like Bleach and Claymore, but a few shojos scattered in there. Avatar's pretty cool, too. I love video games, especially platformers and RPGs. Spyro (the old PS1 games), Tales of Vesperia, Pokemon, Final Fantasy (I own I-VI), Golden Sun, and Lost Odyssey. I'm also really obsessed with Kingdom Hearts. It's been called unhealthy by some people, but whatever.

I love to draw. I enjoy painting, too, but what I really love is the feel of a pencil in my hand and paper under it. My style is somewhere between realistic and animesque, so it's more...exaggerated realisim? Cartoonish realism? I don't really know how to classify it. I also love origami.

I'm a fantasy/sci-fi addict. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Pendragon, A Song of Ice and Fire, anything by Nix, Pratchett, or Gaiman, The Ender (and Bean) series, Bartimaeus, and so much more. I can get really obsessive about this. There are also a ton of books that aren't good. I'm of the camp that you shouldn't bash something unless you've read/watched it for yourself, so I will subject myself to horrible books so that I'll know what I'm talking about if I need to argue a point. It's the only reason I willingly read Twilight *shudder*

I like to write, too. I mostly write original stuff, but some fanfiction in there, too. That mostly stays in my head and never leaves.

Rice may be the best food in the universe. I'm adamant on this. It's closely followed by dark chocolate and pinapple pizza.

Silver is awesome. I don't know why, but I've never liked gold. It seems tacky, or something.

I have a fixation with wings. Birdlike, batlike, wings made of light. It doesn't matter what they look like; as long as you can fly with them, I like them. Which may explain why one of my characters has wings. Well...sorta. I'm not gonna go into that here.

I was raised on a mixture of 80s and 90s rock, punk, and lighter metal. Anime introduced me to j-pop and -rock, and my uncle got me into Irish punk and rock. I also enjoy soundtrack instrumentals and symphonic metal. Something to note: If you ever get into a conversation about former Disney channel stars who're now bubblegum pop fairies, expect a lot of ranting. Ditto for (most) country and rap.

I really like boats. I canoe, kayak, water ski (well, it involves a boat), and I'm pretty good at sailing, too. I'm learning how to windsurf, though the most I can do is pick up the sail and go ten feet, maybe. But it's all fun. I don't do any of this competively, but for a while I've been helping to teach it at my summer camp.
